Meetings and Special Private Events
Business or charity groups sometimes enjoy an offsite meeting spot to clear out the cobwebs and refresh the spirit. What better setting then a vineyard with a beautiful view and indoor and outdoor meeting space? Or think of a fun event like a Private Trivia Tournament, Murder Mystery Dinner, or host a social event in our tasting room or the pavilion for larger groups with entertainment, inflatables and food by our caterer. Trivia Game Tournaments– Players can match their wits in a strictly for fun game of trivia. Teams can be a maximum of four players (less if you’re REALLY, REALLY SMART). It is about a 2-2 ½ hour time period for the trivia game. There are eight categories and a tie-breaking ninth when needed. Catering can be used for this event or teams can bring their own light snacks and treats. The tasting bar is open for complimentary tasting and we serve wine, beer, sodas, bottled tea and bottled water. The game is hosted in the tasting room and is $10 per person for a private after hours function with a minimum of 36 players or a maximum of 50 players
Murder Mystery Dinners– Murder Mystery Dinners can be hosted by private groups in our tasting room. We have a selection of different shows through UPstage Productions. Fees for the dinner and drama are based on the group numbers with a group of 55 or more guests at $45+tax per person, 54 or less guests are $55+tax per person and 35-39 guests are $65+tax per person. The Murder Mystery Dinner usually takes about 3 ½ to 4 hours. During the first part of the event the tasting bar is open for complimentary wine tasting and throughout the evening the tasting bar is open for sales of wine, beer and soft drinks. The caterers provide tea and coffee for the meal and dessert service. *Advance notice of at least two months is needed to schedule a Murder Mystery Dinner.
Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln come alive in The Man, The Myth and Mary in a lively, historic presentation, historical actors Chris Hotz (Abraham Lincoln) and Deborah Senger (Mary Todd Lincoln) lovingly recall the Lincolns’ childhoods, romance and years in the White House. Timeless presentations make history come ALIVE in this spirited appearance of The Man, Myth and Mary. Pricing is $10 per person with a minimum of 40 people or $400 for this two hour interactive presentation with the Lincoln’s. During the program the tasting bar is open for complimentary wine tasting and throughout the presentation the tasting bar is open for sales of wine, beer, bottled tea, water and soft drinks.
Gangsters on Route 66– Bloomington and Central Illinois were hot spots of the early 1900s during Prohibition for gangsters and their gals. History comes alive when gangster Frankie and his main squeeze Sally dramatize and share the stories of some of colorful characters and local legends from days gone by. Pricing is $10 per person with a minimum of 40 people or $400 for this two hour interactive presentation with the gangsters. . During the program the tasting bar is open for complimentary wine tasting and throughout the presentation the tasting bar is open for sales of wine, beer, bottled tea, water and soft drinks.
Musical and Specialty Entertainment and Rentals– We hire many bands throughout the spring, summer and fall for our Concerts in the Vineyard series Saturday evenings and for our Festivals. If you are hosting an event here and would like musical entertainment we can recommend or hire a string quartet, guitarists, a harpist, a D.J’ and Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz or Country Bands for your event. We also have access to other local actors, magicians and other performers that can make your event a unique experience. Pricing is done on an individual basis for these bookings.
Inflatables– We have access to a company that can provide inflatables for corporate and family picnics as well as a large inflatable movie screen that can be used at the lake gazebo with yard and deck seating for guests. Pricing is done on an individual basis for rentals.
Pavilion Rental for Large Group Events– We have a large pavilion that is used from May through October for wedding receptions as well a corporate parties and reunions. The building can seat up to three hundred guests for a seated formal dinner function. The pavilion sits in the vineyard area with views of our lawns, lake and gazebos. Pricing for the pavilion is based on the number of people and the length of time the group hosts the event. Fees and available dates are available upon request
After hours Tasting Room Rental– to reserve the tasting room after business hours for a party, Sundays through Thursdays it is $350+tax for three hours for the main tasting room that seats a maximum of 100 for a banquet style event, there is an additional room that can be used to expand for food buffet service and that is $450+tax for three hours to use both rooms.
Rental rates on Friday and Saturday evenings are $450 for three hours for the main tasting room or $550 for the main tasting room and additional party room space for three hours. *We don’ t rent the tasting room on Saturday evenings from June to September because of our band nights. **Tour and Tastings and Chocolate and Wine tastings can be scheduled after normal business hours with the per person fee applied in addition to the room rate.
Food Service or Catering– The Catering Company is the official caterer for the vineyard and they provide a broad range of menu options to fit any taste or budget. We can arrange for box lunches, buffet style or table service meals upon request. A favorite evening dinner in the warmer months is a cookout on their big grill for large groups or small dinners.
